Sparky 2024.11

This is the November update of Sparky semi-rolling iso images of the Debian testing line, which provides package updating as usually.

Main changes:
– all packages upgraded from Debian and Sparky testing repos as of November 7, 2024
– Linux kernel 6.11.5 (6.11.7, 6.6.60-LTS, 6.1.116-LTS, 5.15.171-LTS in Sparky repos)
– Midori web browser 11.4.2 (Firefox 132.0.1 in Sparky repos)
– Thunderbird 128.4.0esr
– LibreOffice 24.8.2
– VLC 3.0.21
– Exaile 4.1.3
– an issue od APTus AppCenter which displays empty window on some machines is solver, thanks to Sparky community members

Still working on root partition encrypting to Sparky CLI Installer, but not ready yet.

The live user password: live
root password is empty.

For better performance, I recommend making Sparky installation on UEFI machines with active internet connection, for installing efi related packages.

If you have Sparky rolling installed – simply keep it up to date. There is no need to reinstall your OS.

Get new semi-rolling iso images from: /download/rolling/ page.

ISO images are available from a few locations: wordwide (SourceForge), USA, Singapure and India.
