There is a new, small tool available for Sparkers: DEBiTool.

What is DEBiTool?
It is a small tool which lets you install a deb package from your local disk, and reinstall or remove it as well. It uses Yad to display all messages.

It can be used as an alternative for GDebi-GTK or GDebi-KDE.

The name of DEBiTool is effect of quick work of our small but strong community (FB). We needed 20 minuts about to get a compromise and find a name to the new tool čÖé

apt update
apt install debi-tool

1. Right click on a deb package -> Open with DEBiTool Package Installer (or set it as a default tool to open deb files); or
2. Menu-> System-> DEBiTool-> choose a deb file from your local drive; or
3. From a command line:
debi-tool your-package.deb

It can be installed on Debian and Ubuntu based distros, after adding Sparky repos and the public key.

The tool is already localized into English and Polish, so translate to any different language, please.

Make sure it is the first version so… if you find any problem or have an idea how to improve it – simply post it at our forums, please.
