Linuxiarze and SparkyLinux joined to a Polish crowdfunding portal called Patronite.pl
What is it and how does it work?
Patronite is a people funding portal, it uses the existing crowdfunding and e-commerce business models. The difference is that we encourage recurring monthly payments and we understand that in order to obtain sustainable founding for talented people we need to attract individuals and big businesses.
By using Patronite, gifted and passionate individuals collect funds and make their dreams possible. For patrons it’s a way to engage and support people they love and be up to date with their latest achievements.
A Patron (private person) and a Mecenas (a company) can support our job sending some money every month.
There are a few levels of monthly supporting:
1: 10 PLN = ~2.40 Euros
2: 30 PLN = ~7.20 Euros
3: 50 PLN = ~12 Euros
4: 100 PLN = ~24 Euros
5: 300 PLN = ~72 Euros
6: 500 PLN = ~120 Euros
The payment is done by PayPal service or to a bank account.
Supporting us, we can give you some souvenirs/prizes back, for example:
– your name/nick name/company logo on a special page with notice: Sparky Patron
– a special edition of Sparky on a DVD of your choice
We are not under “normal” employment by an employer so all the time we focus on our Linux related projects, including Sparky. Your monthly support would be very helpful to us and could keep our work on.
