I have recently tested Sparky Stable 8.2 with 8 different desktop environments, just to get a feel of Sparky and the DEs, and the resource consumption on idle (see in norwegian: diskusjon.no/topic/1958761-ulike-skrivebordsmilj%C3%B8-og-vindusbehandlere-for-linux-erfaringer-og-testdata/)
The Xfce-version was the only version that did not install properly, APTus an Synaptic did not start, the Sparky wallpaper was missing and I guess it was a “polkit-issue”? Is this fixed in version 8.3?
Also: inxi reported the LXQt-version to be 2.1.4 😀
Sparky 8.3.1 Xfce uploaded, which fixes that issue. Thanks for reporting that.
