« on: December 22, 2017, 06:40:26 pm »
hello everybody,

i am using sparky 5.2 xfce 32-bit.

using aptus desktop installer, on top of it, i had successfully installed these desktop environments :
- pantheon
- enlightenment

but not manokwari desktop environment; it failed.

using aptus desktop installer, there was no error message :

using synaptic, installing "manokwari" package resulted in :

installing "sparky-desktop-manokwari" package resulted in :

i did logged out and even rebooted the computer after trying the installation, but it still did not solve the issue.
i am wondering, what did i miss here and how to solve this issue ?  :o
thanks again.

Dependency hell.
Debian devs removed one of the package's deps from testing repos, so I put it to Sparky repos now.
Refresh package list and try again.
Nothing is easy as it looks.

i am wondering, what is the icon at the bottom center of the screen for ?
when mouse pointer is hovering on it, it just displays "(null)". left-click, right-click, middle-click on it do not do anything.

thanks again.

The empty icon is a part of the bottom panel.
Choose an appliaction from the menu to be added to the panel so the empty icon will be changed to your app.
Nothing is easy as it looks.
