Failed to start Login Service after (failed?) upgrade
« on: July 18, 2017, 10:20:33 pm »
Hi!

After a (possibly failed unantended) upgrade I am getting
Failed to start login service
Failed to start accounts services etc

Is there any way to repair the system?

Thank you, but that requires the ability to log-in, which I don't have! Loging-in in repair mode, which is still possible, the dpkg does not recognize --reconfigure!

You are right, there was a mistake, should be:
Code: [Select]
dpkg --configure -atry again to fix broken packages.

I have no network either, so I am planning to re-install.

Thank you for your advice.
