what about adding grub customizer to the sparky repos?

Have you seen Debian packages of it (not for *buntu)?
Nothing is easy as it looks.

For what its worth, I have been using the ubuntu version for several years in Debian based distros (LMDE, Sparky) with no issues.

Its invaluable for controlling multi-boot boxes... ;)
