How to login automatically?

I would like to login without entering password each time. :)

Go to Synaptic package manager. Right click on the Sparky Aptus icon and do it.

Then do Reload.

Then install

Lightdm-manager

package.

Then start it from

Run

option in the menu

and select autostart option.

There you go.

did the same, however the autostart box is not clickable (as in when i click on it, nothing happens)

any ideas

You might try following:

in terminal type

Code: [Select]
sudo mousepad /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
and uncomment these lines

Code: [Select]
[SeatDefaults]
auotlogin-user=<YOUR USER>
autologin-user-timeout=0

save the file and reboot your machine
